Job Title: Tax Site Manager
Summary: AccountAbility Minnesota’s tax and financial services are only made possible through the work of our seasonal staff and volunteers. The Tax Site Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day activities at an AAM tax site with the purpose of ensuring that each tax return prepared is accurate and complete. The ideal candidate will be able to fulfill these responsibilities by conveying tax knowledge, supervising and guiding volunteers, and providing support to full time staff of AccountAbility Minnesota.

Hours: Full-time or part-time, Non-exempt, December through April, daytime, evenings and Saturdays
Closing Date: Open until filled
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of tax services in compliance with the rules and procedures set forth by AccountAbility Minnesota and the Internal Revenue Service
Direct the preparation and quality review of federal and state tax returns
Manage the day-to-day activities at one or more seasonal tax sites
Coordinate day-to-day activities of the tax site
Supervise and support volunteer staff
Work with the Tax Program Manager and the Volunteer Director to assist with volunteer tax training during January
Follow procedures to ensure that all customer information is secure and private
Attend required training set forth by AccountAbility Minnesota
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in tax preparation for low-income individuals with knowledge and understanding of tax credits for low-wage earners
Self-directed with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated experience in guiding the work of others, exercising sound judgment and providing leadership in a variety of situations
Possess a reliable, insured vehicle for travel in the Twin Cities metro area
Knowledge of tax software and proficiency with computer programs
Priority given to candidates with the following experience: interpretive skills of a second language and experience with diverse communities, recent immigrants, and/or English-language learners.
Compensation:
Salary is $10.50 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience. Includes mileage reimbursement. Position provides excellent training and experience.
