Staffing Firm seeks Payroll/ Benefits Administrator to manage its payroll, billing and benefits administration processes.
General Responsibilities
1. Process weekly payroll for temporary employees, which includes the following:
a. Compile / confirm critical data for new and amended projects
b. Identify new hires, ensure receipt of new hire paperwork for entry into payroll system
c. Coordinate payroll processing with payroll service provider
d. Collect approved timesheets and expense reports from candidates/clients
e. Reconcile candidate expense reports, ensuring requested reimbursement is in accordance with client expense guidelines
f. Input detailed time, expense and car service billing into contact management system
g. Distribute pay checks and vouchers
h. Process garnishments
i. Calculate and process vacation and referral bonuses
2. Review client invoicing and support for weekly distribution.
3. Administer company benefits, which includes the following:
a. Track and process new enrollments to all benefit plans
b. Communicate with employees concerning participation in benefit plans
c. Process terminations including coordination with COBRA administrator
d. Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and COBRA statements
e. Coordinate with benefits broker
f. Process unemployment claims and third party verification requests
4. Serve as back up support to the Receptionist/ Office Manager
5. Other special projects as required.
Requirements
1. Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of direct experience in a high volume, fast pace environment
2. Bachelors degree, required
3. Strong Excel skills
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Extremely organized and detail oriented
6. Self starter who can act with little or no assistance
7. Ability to multi-task in high pressure situations
8. Staffing industry experience, a plus
