What can we do after Samoa tsunami

Reports are still early, but apparently Samoa and American Samoa got hit pretty hard by a tsunami caused by an earthquake. http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2009-09-29-pacific-earthquake-tsunami_N.htm Dozens of people are dead, and the numbers will probably rise. There are reports that dozens of National Park Service volunteers working at a nature preserve on American Samoa may have been swept away. There is also a lot of damage to cars and buildings, and people are injured. American Samoa - as the name indicates - is a territory of the United States. That means its citizens are American nationals. They are Americans. We have a duty to help them out. Also, American Samoa borders the independent nation of Samoa. Those Samoans are not American nationals by birth, but many have immigrated to the US, and obviously, there are a lot of ties between Samoa and American Samoa. They need our help, too. What can we do to help the relief effort in American Samoa? People sometimes forget that American Samoa is part of America, but Samoans serve at a very high rate in the US military, and they have been American nationals since 1899.
