Im not hunting this year due to financial constraints but the feeders are already up and the stands are in place.
Seems like a shame to let it all sit & go unused this year.
Want to do some hunting
Willing to entertain offers of BARTER or TRADE for TEMPORARY hunting priviledges.
If all goes well & we get along, then something long term MIGHT be worked out.
Break the rules (most are just plain common sense) and be asked to leave right then whether youve harvested anything or not.
Three digital timer feeders in place now, two more that can be put up with minor effort.
Two two man groung blinds, one one man ground blind, one two man tower stand that needs some work and one treestand (its UNSAFE so do not ask to use it).
If you have a metal ladder stand of your own or a box stand that can be easily positioned, thats fine too.
Has never been hunted by more than two or three hunters in ANY given year.
Private ranch that has never made open to any hunting outside the family or a VERY few close friends.
Hogs seen regularly. We counted 18 on Thursday evening less than 200 yards from the barns. Live weights wouldve varied between 40 and 250lbs.
Running water, electricty and utility lights on-site.
NO overnight camping.
Sheds pictured below were all found THIS YEAR.
30OCT09 UPDATE:
I have had a tremendous number of responses to this ad.
Be CREATIVE about what you have to offer in trade.
Im just trying to give a select few people the opportunity to hunt that might not be able to do so otherwise.
And please dont offer me anything that you cant do without because times are too hard these days!
If theres more than one (or maybe two at the most) of you, dont ask.
If youre looking gor a hunt for someone else, have THEM contact me.
Ive been asked about the "rules" also...
NO alcohol and NO cigarrettes (cigars, etc...)
No automatic or semi-automatic weapons (I dont care how accurate you think your AK47 or SKS is so dont ask).
Also basically what they teach you in a Texas Hunters Safety Course.
I will require that you have taken that course and successfully passed it.
(That means Ill want to see your THSC card and your VALID hunting license BEFORE you hunt.)
And Most Important of all...
I am not (and will not) be willing the "lease" the farm for this (or any other) season so please dont ask.
Remember, this is an opportunity for temporary hunting PRIVILEDGES, not a "lease".
Be a good GUEST and these priviledges may be extended to you again on a regular basis.
