I have experience in filling in for live gigs for bands last minute. Have a gig this Friday No problem! Rehearsal is free of charge, and gigs are $100/hr by set time. In other words, if you have a gig coming up where you are playing a 45min-1hr set, my fee is $100. This means I use and set up MY OWN GEAR, learn songs at rehearsal and master them before the show, all FREE (included in the gig price.) I also give discounts for multiple gig contracts and/or single gigs that last 3 or more hours. My genres I have a most experience with are: ROCK (hard rock, metal, hardcore, 70s, 80s, ect.), COUNTRY (modern country, classics, bluegrass,) R&B (rap, blues, jazz, hip hop,) EXPERIMENTAL (industrial, ambient, trance, house, ect.) I also have a wide variety of outfits/stage wear so I can ALWAYS fit the part on stage. Whether you do originals or covers (or both!), have the bass part written or not, I can accommodate almost any set of circumstances. Live gear: 8x10" cabinet, 750watt amplifier, pedalboard to alter tone to any genre, 4 and 5-string basses in standard E, D, and C tunings. STUDIO:
I also do studio work for recording sessions. Bass player cant make it to record Ill record his part with precision and accuracy! Dont have a bass player but need to record Ill write and perform the part! My fee for recording is $50/hr and I can bring all my own gear or use yours! I have a strong ear for writing bass parts that are true to the genre, yet still unique and tasteful. However, if you have ideas for the track, Id be happy to play them. Please shoot an email with the dates of the recording session, how many tracks, what genre, and what gear I will need!
If you ARE a bassist:
I am thoroughly knowledgeable on the inner and outer workings of an instrument and its maintenance. Have a pickup that’s crackling Have a fret that’s buzzing I will do a personal clinic and show you how to repair and maintain your instrument. While I charge the same price or lower than places like Guitar Center or other music stores, I have a much more thorough knowledge on how things work and teach you how to do it as I go. Thus, this will be the LAST time you have to pay to have it repaired. No need to leave your instrument at the store or have it shipped off! I come to you! I also do a simple diagnostic to let you know of any other problems your instrument may have now or in the future! Instrument repair and maintenance greatly varies depending on the issue, but I keep my prices competitive! Please let me know what the issue is and I can give you more information on cost and price. I also install aftermarket parts such as new tuners, pickups, jacks, pots, ect. Please send me an email with your instrument make and model and a detailed description of the issue!
If you WANT TO BECOME a bassist:
I have been teaching lessons for 2 years now and have an Associates degree in psychology with a focus on education (and currently working on my Masters). Never picked up a bass before No problem! Ill teach you everything to know including what gear to buy and how to be cost-effective picking it out! Played bass on your own for a while but need some inspiration and guidance from there Great! I can gauge your knowledge and grasp on the instrument and help you set musical goals and give you the means to achieve them! My lessons include the full package, not just how to play the instrument. In our 1-hour sessions usually once every week, students not only learn how to play, but how to write and record music, start bands, audition for professional acts, and what the expectations are of a part-time/full-time musician are! I also teach my students what they WANT to learn, not classic 1970s jazz riffs like many teachers. I have a very contemporary approach, tailoring the lesson to fit the students individual goals, interests and needs. To make the deal even sweeter, I come to you! While many instructors that operate in institutions make you set a firm schedule and meet at their location, I have a flexible schedule and can meet at your place or mine!
