Ciocc is pronounced Choke... THIS IS A FULL CAMPY (Campagnolo means top of the line and expensive) ITALIAN RACING BIKE. It weighs fully equiped with sewups 21 lbs 13 ozs. Columbus SLX steel frame and fork. Campy Record/Super Record headset, bottom bracket, crankset, brakes, brake levers (hoods are iffy), pedals, toe clips (Binda straps), front and rear derailleurs, shift levers, water bottle, seat post, hubs & quick releases both wheels, drop outs. Chinelli stem, and handlebar (Giro DItalia 64/40). Regina Extra BX freewheel and chain. New black cloth bar tape last year, it needed it, used to be white leather. Took off my Brooks and put the original white suede San Marco seat back on. Ambrosio (ie expensive) Montreal sew up wheels and Continental Sprinter 250 tires (front holds air, rear has slow leak, otherwise decent shape. Sew ups used to be THE tires for serious riders, but personally I had light weight clinchers w/Phil Wood hubs on when I was riding it, took them off tonight getting ready to sell it. A set of Ambrosios could go for 300. on ebay...how smart was that But theyre original...
Paint and decals good, not perfect, needs cleaning and chrome polished, its a rider not a show queen. Ciocc has been handbuilt by Italian craftsmen for nearly a century. This is a 1984 model, ie the name "Designer 84." Compared to the ordinary bike this is a Ferrari... I thought Id see if someone is looking for a good deal before I strip it and sell the frame and parts on ebay. Its such a beauty that would be a true shame.
Thanks to Jimmy who called on the bike I realized Id forgotten to put the size in the ad, its a 22" (56cm) frame.
Asking 850. period... I can make more parting it out but would prefer selling to someone who wants it. Unfortunately I need the money, getting ready to move, so it wont be on here forever.
If interested, email, or call 315 691-2025
FWIW Also have a beautiful Bianchi, for sale on Craigslist also, weighs a little more (23 lbs 6 ozs) with clincher wheels and tires, not full Campy but otherwise almost as nice and selling for less.
