I WILL BE SHOWING IT SATURDAY THE 24TH AT HICKAM MARINA CALL NUMBER BELOW FOR MORE INFO.
1967 Islander Bahama for sale comes with a 8 hp Yamaha outboard, a high output prop, a factory prop, an outboard motor stand with wheels, flush kit, has a great v- berth and potential for a really nice galley area with a little work. I found out I will have to start deploying a lot and itd be a waste to let it sit and grow fuzz. Big boat for little money.
If you are not familiar with the Islander, it is what the raised deck columbia 24 and contender 24 are copied from (identical). Howard Hughes owned the company at one point and the factory burnt or something crazy like that. It has a full keel and draws 4 feet total. It has an outboard well, which makes it look like you have an inboard, gives you some more storage in the back. and allows you to use a short shaft motor. the 8 horse yamaha has low hours, is good on gas and moves it along great.
It has very little rigging so its is a blank slate for somebody who wants a big tough old fiberglass sailboat and set it up how you want, It motors along very well, I took it out in 6-8 foot seas from kehei to hickam into the wind and the cabin stayed bone dry, it has no leaks, but needs some TLC. Has the factory mainsail and a foresail they both look pretty tough, and in good shape. I can get you on to base if that is any kind problem. mooring is not transferable but probably no wait if you are military. No trailer.
