Seeking entry and mid-level aspiring candidates interested in working in environmental property assessment and regulatory compliance in a laid-back environment. Our ideal candidates have a college-level or higher education in geology, or environmental science and enjoy technical writing and field work regarding property assessments, from park lands to industrial sites. No engineers or chemists, please.
YOU: Hard-working, clever, and, even if quiet, possess a good sense of humor. Grades and scope of experience are not definitive criteria, but a transcript will be required, although not with the resum Writing and organizational abilities for preparation of comprehensive property reports is critical. Your writing should be flawless, and you must be able to use the computer fluidly. Your ability to work autonomously and your interpersonal skills are key because of the direct contact you will have with clients both on-site and by phone. Candidates must be able to drive and touch-type, although not at the same time.

JOB DESCRIPTION: “Walking the landand preparing environmental assessment reports for clients prior to land acquisitions, financing or greenspace preservation. Such work includes researching deeds, maps, tax and historical records, directing soil and groundwater testing, and conducting field investigations and site interviews. You also will respond to client questions and emergencies related to regulatory interpretations.

THE PAY OFF: Starting salary for entry and mid-level candidates ranges from $28,000 - 35,000, depending upon experience. Office is casual dress. You’ll need a car but you are reimbursed for business-related mileage.
