Sr./Director, Global Marketing, Pharma, Massachusetts ($200k+)
Summary: This is a newly created, high-profile position that reports to senior management of a very attractive, multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company. Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Marketing professional at the Sr. Director or Director level to globally advise senior management and R&D teams on potential market opportunities for early stage R&D projects across multiple therapeutic areas (immunology, antibodies, and cardiovascular) as well as developing and implementing commercial strategy and development plans for later-stage development programs. You will interact with drug discovery, clinical R&D, marketing research, scientific communications, HEOR, Regulatory Affairs and Legal.

Location: Suburbs north of Boston.
Key Responsibilities:
For this company’s immunology, cardiovascular, and antibody portfolios, you will lead the commercial direction for potential market opportunities for early stage R&D projects as well as lead the creation and implementation of Commercial Strategy and Development Plans (including LCM plans) for late stage development programs.
Utilizing your strategic and tactical marketing and commercial strategy expertise, you will be advising global R&D development teams and senior management on product development opportunities and commercial development and strategy activities.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate execution of pre-market activities.
Interact regularly with company colleagues from drug discovery research, clinical R&D, marketing research, scientific communications, HEOR, reg affairs and legal.
Desired Background:
8 12 years of pharmaceutical marketing / product management experience.
Experience working with cross-functional teams involved with discovery and early clinical development.
Therapeutic area experience in areas such as Immunology, Inflammation, Anti-bodies, and Cardiovascular.
Pre-launch experience is required. Launch experience is preferred.
Experience directing external sources in support of marketing plans.
Bachelor’s degree. MBA is a plus.
