The next year will be an exciting and educational opportunity for you to learn about conservation in Hawaii first hand. Interns will be placed with various site managers within the Dept. of Land and Natural Resources or within a partner agency such as Ko’olau Mountain Watershed Partnership. During the 42 week term of service you will assist site managers in various field and office duties. This internship position will require you to work in physically challenging areas and in rough weather conditions. Interns will get the opportunity to see and learn about some of Hawaii’s environmental gems. Interns will also help protect Hawaii’s ecosystems from many of the threats that challenge and destroy the environment. During this internship interns will also be challenged to develop teamwork, leadership, and other personal development skills. These are to assist you in your ventures through life. This program provides you with many great tools, and the program directors, coordinators, site managers will do their best to make this a worthwhile experience. These positions are paid,full-time internships.
