PROJECT ASSISTANT ID# 29366. John A. Burns School of Medicine. Temporary (No benefits), Part-Time (25% FTE), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, and availability of funds.
MINIMUM HOURLY RATE: 12.00/hr.
DUTIES: Assists the Project Coordinator and research team with data collection and program evaluation activities for a smoking cessation program at a children’s hospital. Enrolls and interviews participants, distributes and collects surveys, and enters data into a database.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university. EXPERIENCE: At least six (6) months of experience working for a program in a health related setting. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to go into patient’s rooms and offer smoking cessation services to hospitalized patients and their families. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently. Familiar with Macintosh and PC computers. PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess tuberculosis (TB) clearance and able to meet hospital health requirements. SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS: Previous research-related experience.
