HYPERBARIC CHAMBER OPERATOR I, II ID# 29382. Hyperbaric Treatment Center. Regular, Full-Time, RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Hyperbaric Treatment Center (HTC), located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, and availability of funds.
MINIMUM HOURLY PAY RATE: $12.14.
DUTIES: Trained to operate the Hyperbaric Chamber System. Demonstrate successful completion of established chamber operator training requirements. Operates and assists with the regular maintenance and light repair of the Hyperbaric Chamber System and its support equipment.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School Diploma. EXPERIENCE: Level I: One to two (1-2) years experience in Diving or Hyperbaric Medicine in a military, civilian or commercial sector. Level II: Two to four (2-4) years of experience in Diving or Hyperbaric Medicine utilizing chamber operations in a military, civilian or commercial sector. ABIL/KNOW/SKILLS: Level I & II: Understanding of chamber operations. Must possess current CPR certification. Possess mechanical skills with ability to recognize and solve technical problems. Level II: Working knowledge of general maintenance and light repair requirements of chamber systems and ancillary equipment. PHYSICAL/MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS: Level I & II: Able to assist in lifting and transporting incapacitated patients. Level II: Able to lift 50 pounds. Physically capable of working inside chamber environment. Successful completion of medical exam to ensure physical capabilities.
SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS: Level I & II: Certified Hyperbaric Technologist. Level II: Experience as a mechanic; specialized training or working knowledge of pipe fitting and tubing, compressor repair, welding, and braising techniques; experience as a Care Provider.
