Research Technician, molecular biology
Youtell Biochemical, a leading and rapidly growing biochemical manufacturing company with a research and development center located in Bothell, is currently offering research technician position(s). Successful applicants will participate in biochemistry, microbiology, and molecular biology research projects.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties include cloning, mutagenesis, transformation of yeast and bacterial strains, and enzyme assay and characterization. The successful candidate should have excellent organizational skills, keep up to date and accurate laboratory notebooks and the ability to work both independently and as the member of a team. Excellent communications skills are desired.
Requirements:
Candidates with bachelor or Master’s degree in biochemistry, biology or microbiology are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who have yeast and bacterial protein expression and hydrolytic enzyme assay experience.
Compensation for this position is $30-$40K DOE, with benefits.
