Position reports directly to Development or Therapeutic Head

Globally accountable for planning, development, execution, management of the assigned Projects to achieve strategic and operational objective set up by Development or Therapeutic head in the assigned division.

Provide project leadership and responsible for all deliverables within the assigned project. This includes leading the project team in alignment with the strategy approved by Development or Therapeutic heads. This also includes leading the process of preparation of regulatory documents/registration dossier and brand related medical information, communication and publications (NDA, MAA, INDs, CTA, etcInvestigator Brochure, responses to Health Authorities questions) to achieve Product Profile.

Support Development or Therapeutic Heads in interactions with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, Scientific advisory boards, internal stakeholders (e.g., Research, Exploratory Development, Global Medical Affairs, Marketing, HE), and internal decision boards.

Ensure all functions supporting the project team are adequately resourced. Elevate issues to Therapeutic Heads.

Accountable for developing realistic project budget forecasts and timely flagging of budget variations with rationale in collaboration with Project manager and Therapeutic Head

Based on Complexity of project or based on where project is in development timelines, Project head can be responsible for 1 or 2 or more projects. Must be able to manage complex projects.

Project head is expected to be a project driver and have a good understanding of science in the assigned therapeutic area. Good understanding of competition in the related area as well. Needs to have a solid sense of urgency.

Job Requirements (minimum/desirable):
Education:
Advanced degree or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare is required

Doctorate degree preferred

Advanced knowledge in the medical/scientific area is required.

Experience/Professional requirement:
8 - 13 years of involvement in research or drug development in an academic or industry environment

5 years of demonstrated leadership and accomplishment in all aspects of conducting projects (e.g., planning, executing, reporting and publishing), in pharmaceutical industry

5 years project management experience required. Global project management experience desirable

Strong project management, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills

Considerable organization awareness (e.g., inter-relationship of departments, business priorities), including significant experience working cross-functionally and in global teams.
