Caroline Winberg was born in Sollentuna, Sweden as the daughter of Thomas and Camila. Winberg enjoyed a relatively normal childhood and was something of a tomboy in her youth. In fact, it was en route to soccer training that a scout spotted the 15-year-old teenager and suggested that she consider a career in modeling. Though Winberg always harbored dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, the exotic and exciting world of modeling proved to be an irresistible force.
During high school years at Rudbecks Gymnasium Winberg became best friend and classmate with Charlotte Lindström also a later model, Lindström was sentenced to prison in Australia for the 2007 Spaliviero hitman case. With Caroline commenting "She was blinded by love". The two models kept in contact after graduation.
