Jacoba Fransisca Maria "Cobie" Smulders better known as Cobie Smulders is a Canadian actress ans also a former international model.
Jacoba's debut role was as a guest in Showtime and her debut series role was in ABC series Veritas : The Quest and currently she plays television reporter Robin Scherbatsky in the well known series CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Cobie Smulders was born to a Dutch father and a British mother. She was named after her Dutch Grand Aunt, ‘Jacoba’, for which she gained the nickname ‘Cobie’.
When she was little, Cobie wanted to be either a doctor or a marine biologist but became interested in acting while she was in high school. She appearing in several school productions. She finished high school in 2000 at Lord Byng Secondary School with high honors, after being voted ‘Most Respected’.
Cobie was ‘discovered’ by a modeling agency in her teens and started to model internationally, including in locations such as New York City, the Caribbean, Paris, Japan, Milan, Greece, Africa and Germany.
