ERS has an immediate opening for an Industrial Outreach Specialist to cover an expanded downstate area of New York. We are looking for outgoing self-starters that have good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with industrial customers at their facilities and guide them on energy efficiency program opportunities in specific areas of New York. Significant day and occasional overnight travel will be expected.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with manufacturing facilities and industrial process systems, must be effective at communicating with all levels of management and operations staff (from the CFO to the maintenance manager), and must understand the decision-making process for capital equipment purchases. Prior experience with industrial and manufacturing settings is required. Experience with energy efficiency programs, energy efficiency assessment, and an engineering background is preferred, but not required. Excellent writing, communication, customer service, and computer skills are mandatory.
