Start-up Orange County based Real Estate Development Company seeks an Architect with experience designing new and renovated sustainable multi-family and mixed use buildings in Southern California. Developer desires to create an innovative and enjoyable living environment for middle-income young professionals and families who place value in sustainable living. Candidate will immediately be tasked with developing a concept that is both a cutting edge and cost effective method of creating a synergistic living environment.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture
Knowledge of Orange County commercial real estate process and key players
Familiarity with Office and Apartment floor plan layout
Ability to multi-task and perform a variety of complicated tasks
Effective verbal and written communication skills
High level of organizational skills
Creativity, autonomy and latitude balanced with a sense of urgency
Working knowledge of industry technologies, innovations and cost effective sustainable materials is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Autocad 2007
Architectural License required, LEED AP preferred
This position can be filled by either a small-sized Architectural design firm or by a self-employed Architect. This position will likely be part-time and could be performed concurrent to a full-time position. Candidate must have access to CAD in order to produce conceptual sketches and renderings of buildings in order to use as marketing materials. Expected size of initial projects range from $1M- $10M.
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Compensation: This is not an immediately paid position, but rather the formation of a long-standing partnership, where parties will receive remuneration once the project(s) has received funding. Candidate will have the unique opportunity to participate in an equity stake in projects developed.
