I.C.G. (Internet Connectivity Group, Inc.) was formed in 2004 to create and provide wireless solutions to the enterprise marketplace. With a core focus on the Digital out-of-Home market, I.C.G’s premiere end-to-end wireless solution encompasses hardware, managed services, wireless connectivity, content provisioning, and content management.
The Program/Product manager will be responsible for leading complex hardware and software projects. The projects will frequently include external third party solution providers. This manager will support our Product Life Cycle process and provide best-in-class program and product management service. This role will require some domestic and international travel, working with cross-functional teams in multiple time zones and driving the integrated programs to final production release and ongoing product enhancements.
Strong work ethics and can-do attitude are the must have requirements in addition to 10+ yrs of delivery of complex PC and embedded system and solution experience in a lead role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for system engineering program management activities pertaining to hardware systems, embedded firmware, software tools and applications for our continually evolving solutions.
Responsible for creating hardware and software project schedules, scoping of tasks, execution and rollout of multiple projects and/or phases.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including, OS software engineering, software tools engineering, hardware system engineering, customer support, SQA, operations and third party suppliers. Oversee design, development, testing, and field-beta testing to production release throughout the product development life-cycle.
Contributor to system design.
Coordinate field-beta program activities and deliverables between regional development teams, Corporate development teams, third party suppliers, internal system QA and regional marketing/customer beta managers
Identify issues/conflicts/bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and drive the projects to final milestone, with focusing on delivery of quality products on time within budget
Responsible for cost, schedule, risk management and engineering program performance metrics
Knowledge and Experience:
At least 10 years experience in engineering program or project management in embedded systems with experience with Hardware and software integrated system development
Significant technical experience in delivering embedded systems or consumer or enterprise electronics products to market
Experience in working with and presenting to high-profile customers
Proven ability to lead diverse teams to deliver system (hardware & software) focused projects
Strong knowledge in product development processes, project performance metrics and boundary conditions
Working knowledge of embedded system architecture
Hands-on Hardware and/or software development experience.
Functional management experience.
Experience with managing third party partners for joint solution deliveries.
Embedded system physical and logical security system experience a plus.
Experience in financial payment solutions a plus.
BA/BS or higher degree in related field, with engineering or computer science is desired; MS/MBA is a plus
Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership, with international project management experience, managing multiple time zones and team cultures
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills; excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite
Ability to motivate and influence the others to drive a decision in a matrix environment both internally and externally
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
Highly flexible with can-do attitude
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (about 20%)
