Our company runs a very successful real-time Virtual World game where users can chat with friends and design 3D rooms online. Were searching for a Community Moderator who can successfully manage our growing base of loyal users.
Job Description:
The Community Moderator will act as a liaison between our community and our technical development team.
Responsibilities:
* Learn all of the details about our game and how it works.
* Maintain a strong presence on our public forums by consistently answering questions, providing feedback, and writing informative forum posts.
* Look for patterns within customer inquiries and escalate important or common issues to the development team.
* Moderate the community inside the virtual world by banning users who demonstrate inappropriate behavior.
* Answer inquiries that filter into our customer support Helpdesk system (our email system for dealing with customer support).
* Contact customers who show signs of fraudulent credit card activity (by phone or email).
* Perform other unrelated tasks, such as testing new game features.
Requirements:
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent writing skills
* Calm, cool attitude
* Ability to take direction and work independently
* Proficiency using the internet and common web software such as email and social networking sites
* Outgoing demeanor
