Job Outline.....Personal assistant to the CEO of a soon to open real estate brokerage. This is a be all, do all, wear all the hats, position at the present time until additional job descriptions are created, positions are filled, and people are trained. While some basic skills are mandatory such as being on time, NOT having a need to update your twitter or myspace account every hour, the ability to type whole words while composing emails instead of text messages, and so on.... Certain skills are NOT required, i.e. we do not have typewriters, Rolodex, or pagers. You will work with the CEO to establish the company from ground up while maintaining existing clients and streams of income. Long term, career minded individuals only.
Ideal Candidate...If you do not know what a blackberry is this is probably not the job for you! Should be familiar with basic technology, digital cameras, internet applications, you tube, facebook, twitter (addicts not welcome), but not feel a need to wear an ipod while at work. Industry specific technology a plus such as MLS systems, Top Producer, QuickBooks, etc. (If you were or are a real estate agent we wont hold it against you, well just need to re-train you).
This will be an entry-level executive administrative position, you will be expected to grow with the company, not be trained to go work elsewhere! Should have leadership ability to train and run the future admin staff, be willing to be held accountable for their production and customer service. Have a sincere interest in traditional real estate, bank owned, distressed homeowners, working with investors both in America and abroad, while supporting other activities of the CEO such as speaking engagements, association committees, political committees, and charitable organizations.
You are not looking for huge salary or benefits (did you miss the "entry level" or "soon to open, new") however reasonable compensation for current abilities and increases along with production bonuses, profit sharing, and future benefits are all available for the right candidates.
Current college students are welcome but it should be a field of study that indicates a career interest in this industry, i.e...a medical or criminal justice degree does not suggest an interest in a career in business.
You should be comfortable with multi-task, fast paced, office environments, extensive data entry at times, great phone skills, diversity in the workplace as well as the clientele.
This is a 9-5 M-F position but this is a 8-8 7 day industry. You should not be objectionable to an occasional evening, weekend, or attending training or business conferences as needed.
Professional, presentable office image, ability to be office casual AND office formal as needed, comfortable in the back office, front desk, or the boardroom.
Because we are a very community based business you should live close to or in the community the business is located, this is a plus not mandatory.
Willing to learn, we are willing to teach, personality is very important in candidate selection.
