Receptionist wanted for busy Chelsea children’s playspace so you must enjoy being with children experience in a front of house position/office/reception position is NECESSARY! This is not a position for someone looking to get their foot in the door of the job market. Only people with prior office/reception experience will be considered. We are open 7 days a week from 8am until 7pm so you must be prepared to work at any of these times and we are a small but fun team, dedicated to providing the highest level of care and service to our members. We are looking for a part time (4 days a week, 8-9 hrs a day) employee. You will be required to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. If you cannot commit to this then DO NOT APPLY.
You must be energetic and enthusiastic with a polished, professional appearance and attitude. You are the first point of contact for our members and their children and must be able to handle extremely busy periods of times throughout the day but also be self motivated to ‘see what needs to be donein the slow times. You will also be professional, intelligent, considerate, highly-organized and detail-oriented, and definitely a team player who will pitch in wherever necessary to get the job done.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Greet members and schedule appointments and classes
Answer, respond to, and direct all incoming calls
Coordinate, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
Sort, scan and file all documentation relating to day-to-day operations and membership records
Take on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise without complaint
Cover for other staff members during breaks or absences
Other duties as directed by your supervisor
Requirements:
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Excellent at prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to use MS Office
