Pay Potential: $30-55k: Depends on Experience and Participation

Description:
Applied Professional Training, Inc is building its electric power industry education division and is in search of a creative and self-motivated electrical power engineer to assist office operations and power instructors. This person will assist in course development, laboratory equipment refurbishment, engineering support to the president and power instructors with our education programs. This position works directly with our experienced power instructors to assure quality labs and services are provided to students and client customers. APT is looking for a person with 2+ years of technical experience in the electric power industry with knowledge of power system basics, substation equipment, transmission lines, distribution facilities, customer services, system control centers, telecommunications, protective relaying and system normal/emergency operations. Knowledge in NERC power system operator training or any combination of the above is highly desired. The individual must be open to flexible schedules and travel scenarios. Details: Position Requirements:
Technical Degree: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineer with emphasis in power
Technical Experience: Minimum 2 years with an electric utility
High motivation, ambition with an ability to help grow APT’s presence is a must.
Added qualifiers: IT, computer networking, past experience working for an electric utility, course development and sales experience with ability/desire to promote our educational programs.
