WASHINGTON FEDERAL is currently accepting resumes for a full-time, entry level Internal Audit Assistant at our Corporate Office located in Seattle, WA.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for reviewing operating procedures and performing tests to determine the extent of compliance with Bank policies and government regulations. Key functions include but are not limited to the following:
Perform comprehensive internal audits under the direction of the Audit Manager.
Examine department operations to access the extent of compliance by employing various test methods.
Maintain detailed audit work paper files to support conclusions.
Effectively prepare detailed reports to summarize test results.
Communicate audit results to Management both verbally and in writing.
Work with Management to recommend changes or corrective actions to address audit deficiencies.
Assist in developing and researching new audit programs as needed.
Qualified applicants should have the following education, skills and experience:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration from a four year college or university, or equivalent experience.
One to three years of experience as a Bank Auditor preferred.
Interest in Information Systems is desired.
Candidate must communicate effectively as well as possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on work assignments.
Should be able to work on multiple, concurrent projects as part of a team or independently, and have the ability to research and understand Bank operations, rules, and regulations.
Ideal applicant will be detail-oriented, demonstrate a high level of accuracy, personal integrity, and reflect appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
