Doing business as Science Faction Images, Visions of Tomorrow is a small photo agency that distributes some of the world’s greatest science, technology and advertising pictures in digital format. Headquartered 15 minutes from downtown Seattle on Mercer Island, the company gathers, polishes and licenses still imagery from top photographers and collections. Its customers include magazines, textbook companies, ad agencies and design firms. Pictures are licensed online at http://sciencefaction.com as well as by third party distributors.
This administrative position reports to and works closely with the Company’s CEO, a former National Geographic photographer and senior executive at Corbis and Getty Images. You will learn from the best. The job involves all typical small office responsibilities including:
Email, Correspondence & Call Screening
Office Management
Record Filing & Maintenance
Expense Account Reconciliation
Travel Arrangements
CEO’s Appointment Scheduling
Assisting Photographer Relations & Recruitment
Sales and Distributor Support
Production Assistance for Occasional Photo Assignments
Personal Assistance for CEO & Two Children, Coordinating with Nanny
Other Projects as Determined by CEO
We are looking for a great communicator with excellent writing, technical and computer skills. On a daily basis the candidate must be flexible, highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated. The position’s correspondence and direct contact with some of the industry’s top photographers requires discretion and tact. Most importantly, the candidate must have the flexibility to comfortably juggle multiple and competing tasks while allowing others to set and re-set the job’s top priorities on a daily basis.
