
Finland has confirmed 759 cases of A/H1N1 flu, including one fatal case.
Southern Finland has seen the epidemic of A/H1N1 flu spreading this week as patients' number increasing fast with group infections report in some places, Finnish media reported Friday.
The A/H1N1 flu has been mainly spreading in Lappi Province in northern Finland and Central-Pohjanmaa district in west Finland over the past two weeks, where thousands of people have contracted the virus as experts estimated.
The epidemic situation in southern Finland has escalated this week. Two schools in Salo, southern Finland have detected around 90 students who have been infected with A/H1N1 virus within this week.
In addition to that, the Laakso Health Center, which is dedicated to A/H1N1 flu treatment in Helsinki region has seen doubled number of patients this week.
Health care centers and hospitals in Finland have started to inoculate healthcare personnel and pregnant women with A/H1N1 flu vaccines since last week.
