
Singapore's Health Ministry earlier said that it has managed to secure some one million doses of the vaccines. The first batch of 250,000 doses arrived in Singapore last week. All one million doses that the ministry ordered will be delivered by the end of the year.
Singapore reported its first confirmed case of flu A/H1N1 on May 27. The flu has caused 18 deaths in the country.
Singapore's Ministry of Health rolled out some 50,000 doses of the H1N1 vaccines on Tuesday.
According to local TV broadcaster Channel NewsAsia, the vaccines were sent to all 18 local polyclinics as well as 440 family doctors, who are part of the 600 pandemic preparedness clinics in Singapore. The vaccine is offered at around 30 Singapore dollars (21.5 U.S. dollars) per dose.
