Hong Kong singer-actress Vivian Chow attends an event to promote the awareness of breast cancer in Hong Kong Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009. Breast cancer has become a chronic illness, with more than 2,500 new cases diagnosed in Hong Kong every year.
Known for her ladylike image in Hong Kong, popular actress Vivian Chow will be making her return to the silver screen and is slated to start production for her upcoming movie next month. Apart from acting as a le-sbian lover of fellow Hong Kong actress, Sandra Ng, the pair will also share a hot onscreen kiss together.
Chow made her exit from the entertainment industry 12 years ago for love. After her last production in 1996 for the short film, Out of the Blur, it has been 13 years since the actress last appeared on the big screen. Although she has released books, held concerts and partook in commercials, the actress did not wholly resume showbiz work.
According to news reports, both Chow and Ng's participation in the movie has been confirmed by one of the film's investors. "This is a romantic comedy. Filming is estimated to commence in November."
Piqued by the character's role, Chow agreed to make a comeback and star in this upcoming film. To meet the demands of the movie's script, she will embrace her daring side to share a bed scene with Ng.
