Were willing to pay rent and/or barter and are really looking for compatiable folks to enjoy life with! Weve recently enjoyed being "50 something" and are easy going folks that have a multitude of skills. We enjoy helping out in exchange for having our own private space and time.
I, Lori, recently completed a position as a Live-In Companion that included pet care, organic gardening, therapy, some travel and PA work. I have both local and other referrals I can send if the following sounds good to you!
I have a car, CA. lisc./insurance, cell, laptop etc in order to help out with your needs. I have a wide variety of skills from decades of various jobs, running my own business (as a General Contractor) and Mothering. I am skilled at massage and theraputic dance although not yet a lisc. therapist. I will be going to school/pursuing a career in occupational therapy and/or theraputic dance in the near future.
I became resident of LA, as of this last spring, as is the man of my life for the past 9 years.
He, Edwin Fountaine, is a professional guitarist/vocalist as well as an ASE certified mechanic. Hes licensed and has a large workvan. He is willing and able to do plenty of other types of both home and computer maintenance. He also has local and other referrals. We both have incomes. Depending on the space you provide for us, we are willing to pay some rent weekly while we create our new homestyle environment. Barter of our time and talents as partial pay is what wed like to find while we build careers here.
Single room rent could be aproximately $170/week or less depending on what you have offered/bartered with us to create an enjoyable atmosphere at your home. We would prefer housemates that enjoy healthy lifestyles. We make fruit smoothies every morning! Wed also prefer music friendly folks.
Longer term: We would like a Guest House or private space w/ a few rooms/storage and parking for 2 or 3 vehicles. This could be more $/week! Depending on what you provide we would be happy to continue with harmonic homemaking tasks.
Living as part of a small group of folks is one of our aspirations in that we can help each other out over time w/ daily tasks. Consider a Sustainable community template. I am flexible as an on-site Light duty homemaker/ companion/ P.A./pet care/ gardener and driver etc.
We dont drink/smoke or do drugs. We are ok w/ your foibles, as long as they create no drama or friction. We are open minded as long as we have our own space and time.
