I need your help. I am a 33 yo single mother of two. I have recently separated from my husband (Aug 09) and have become unable to support myself and my children on my own. I am seeking help/donations/part time work to help me secure my housing through the winter. I am currently unemployed due to disability and am waiting for court date for an appeal. I am receiving financial assistance through DSHS. Prior to becoming disabled, I have secure full time employment for 10 years. I am on the King County Section 8 waiting list. Due to funding, the list has been placed in a freeze until January 2010. They stopped at #2000. I am #2363. My rent is $750 plus electric and phone service. I receive $540 a month from TANF. All donations can go directly to my landlord, Seattle City Light or Qwest. I am not trying to scam, I am in desperate need of help. I have utilize all resources that offer rent assistance. I am only required to receive help once a year. Please contact me with any questions, concerns or contact information for my landlord. He will be willing to talk to you regarding my rental behavior.
