I am a 50 year old single father with joint custody of my 10-year old son. I a substitute teacher with Seattle Public Schools and I am coming back from, what was considered, a permanent disability. My ex-wife and I were buying our own home, but sold it before our divorce. I have been living with family members ever since, but I am now ready to take the first step toward being independent again. I am clean, quiet, and have NO criminal record. My son is well-behaved with great manners and respects others and their property. The ideal situation for me would be to rent a basement/remodeled garage or a mother-in-law apt The rent situation is open and negotiable, but if you have school-age children, I can assist in tutoring and childcare if that is something that may be possible I have good reliable transportation, I am an "early to bed...early to rise" kind of guy. I dont believe in having overnight "female" company (Im kind of old-fashioned that way). I attend church regularly and work my sub teaching job at least 3 days a week, so between my schedule and my sons schedule, I am really not around a lot. So...that is my basic situation, Im currently living with a sister in North Seattle, and have been told that I am welcome to stay "as long as I want" which is always a good thing, but I think its good to move on while it is MY decision, and I want to be closer to my son...whose mother lives in Burien. Please let me know if you think we can work something out Thank you for taking the time to read my post
