Okay, weve got ourselves in a pickle. Weve volunteered to host Thanksgiving for my wifes family this year. Unfortunately our home renovation project isnt going to be complete or usable for us at that time.
So...were looking at options for a place to host our Thanksgiving Dinner. Most of the crowd is older with graduate level education (most of them are in or have been in education, medicine, or the ministry). So not a bunch or crazed partyers or anything. They do tend to lean a bit to the right in their political beliefs and love their Aggie football, but theyre okay otherwise.
We would need to rent it for two days/nights (Wednesday and Thursday-the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving)
The must haves that were looking for in a property:
-Furnished,
-utilities (including cable) on,
-a minimum of two bathrooms,
-NICE, well-maintained condition,
-a good sized kitchen and dining area, and
-a nice, large screen TV (to watch those aggies)
The "nice to haves":
-Something in Central Austin or close by
-a cool, historic property
-something on Lake Austin
-2000 + square feet
-a good sized outdoor area to take advantage of possible nice weather
-close by attractions (shops on South Congress for instance)
Okay, what have you got Please let me know. Were looking and hope to make a decision by the end of the week.
