Looking for efficiency, moving from LA, no credit just cash

Im moving to Houston from LA in the first week of Dec and looking for an efficiency or small 1 bedroom in either Montrose, Midtown, the Heights, 6th Ward or Downtown.
Im looking to spend no more than $425/mo ($600/mo if "all bills paid") for a modest place that will allow 1 cat..

I am a reliable tenant that always pays her rent, My current landlord, of the last 4 years, can verify this.
Unfortunately, Im unable to produce proof of employment or income due to being self employed and the fact that Im moving from another state.

As far as my credit, the only think I have against me is unpaid student loans (like everybody else). Unfortunately, having never financed cars or property and having never had a credit card has only made my student loans make my credit look even worse.

My current/landlord will give me a reference and Im prepared to pay 1st, last and deposit immediately if I can find an understanding landlord with a small clean efficiency or 1 bedroom in my price range and in the areas of town I previously mentioned.


Please respond to my ad if you can work with a dependable responsible tenant who is in my current predicament.
