Do you get satisfaction watching the expression of confidence and self-esteem on a child’s face when they are playing for learning or from the spirit from a group of children who are vibrant from a day of adventures at the YMCA As a Childcare Director for the North Valley Family YMCA, no two days will ever be the same! You’ll interact with children and their parents who are involved in YMCA child care, day camp and child watch programs.
Each day you will be busy working with children, parents and members and YMCA staff to provide quality child care program experiences. As a Childcare Director, you’ll supervise and manage an after school program of 50-80 kindergartners through 5th graders and plan and implement curriculum

The successful candidate will possess the following:
•A minimum of 24 units in Early Childhood Education or equivalent degree
units in Administration
years successful experience working with children
•Strong teaching, supervisory, technical and organizational skills
•Self motivated, strong leadership coupled with the ability to multi-task
•Strong oral/written communication and administrative skills
•Ability to effectively work in and cultivate a team environment.
•Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
•Experience in volunteer and member involvement, program development and building community partnerships.
