Total Education Solutions (TES) is the leading national provider of outsourced special education compliance and staffing solutions to public education agencies. TES currently provides compliance and staffing solutions to over 200 public and charter school sites, representing 70 school districts and 35 Special Education Governing Entities.
We are currently looking to hire a Lead Resource Specialist in a part-time or full time capacity available in Los Angeles. Must be able to do assessments and facilitate IEPs.
Candidates must possess a valid California Credential in Mild-Moderate or Moderate-Severe Disabilities or at least be enrolled in a University Intern program.
Plans, organizes and facilitates all IEP meetings for assigned schools. Lead RSP must create and/or follow policy and procedures to collect information on students, present levels of performance, academic and/or related assessments, and/or progress towards established IEP goals prior to the IEP meeting. This is to ensure that all required paperwork and signatures required for IEP meeting/document can be completed day of the meeting.
Plans and organizes and provides itinerant or site-based special education services related to all academic and non- academic areas including reading, mathematics and language arts, speech & language, counseling, occupational therapy (i.e., all TES contracted services) necessary to meet the service requirements of each pupil’s Individual Education Plan. Ensures that student performance is evaluated on a regular basis student performance and that written progress reports are completed on a timely basis as required by TES.
Assists in a compliance review of student IEP and speech and language therapy reports and records to ensure that individual student IEPs are in compliance with IDEA and local school district requirements.
Establishes and supervises the accurate maintenance of complex and confidential student records, including tracking IDEA compliance and service delivery utilizing the TES Welligent and client electronic student information management systems.
Evaluates goals, objectives. Revises materials and methods as needed to produce intended results.
Participates in activities and meetings designed to facilitate support and communication and integration of TES programs and services.
