The Cesar Chavez Education Institute is a project of the National Farm Workers Service Center that was founded by Cesar Chavez in 1966. The Institute was established as a non-profit organization for the purpose of increasing the educational opportunities available to students in low performing schools and offers additional instructional services (after school tutoring) to help build students academic achievement and overall school performance.
We are currently looking for Academic Tutors in the city of Phoenix in the following school districts:
Cartwright School District
Murphy School District
Dysart School District
Roosevelt School District
Glendale School District
Seeking tutors that are available between the hours of 3pm and 5:30pm and are willing to work with English Language Learners (ELL) elementary and middle school students.
To qualify for this position, you must possess one of the following:
BA or BS from an accredited institution
Credential teacher
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work with ELL elementary and middle school students. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Teachers, Substitute Teachers and Tutors encouraged to apply.
Title: Academic Tutor
Pay: up to $30/hr with minimum qualifications
Requirements:
Previous teaching or tutoring experience required
Must have current Fingerprint Clearance Card
Bilingual Spanish preferred
