You cant perform a field sobriety test if you are overweight

If you are more than 50 pounds overweight, the police officer shouldnt be asking you to take a field sobriety test. People with weight problems have more difficulty maintaining balance than those of average weight. Combine that with taking such a test on an unlevel surface with traffic speeding a few yards away and your chances of passing this test are severely diminished.


You also shouldnt take it if you have a hearing problem, a leg or hip injury, arthritis, serious vision problems, and a whole host of other medical problems which would adversely effect your ability to succesfully perform a field sobriety test. A police officer should always ask if you have any medical problems before asking you to perform any such test.
