Sage has an immediate opening for an IT Project Manager that focuses on all of our web related projects at our campus in Lawrenceville, GA. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of a single complex project or multiple less complex initiatives. Working with the Program Manager, Project Managers will be responsible for summarizing the progress and status of their projects both for overall project management and risk management purposes as well as for input into the portfolio management process. Project Managers will collaborate with the business services team, application team, and technical infrastructure team in the delivery of projects. You will be responsible for initial project planning, estimating, and scheduling as well as management of the delivery of project results. You will manage the completion of project deliverables and escalate issues to the appropriate IS manager, leader, or steering team as well as collaborate with resource managers on the assignment of project resources, on management of the quality of deliverable content, and on the escalation of resource performance issues Plan, estimate and schedule web project tasks and deliverablesDetermine resource and skills requirements and collaborate with resource managers for other IS areas to staff the appropriate skills and number of resources on the projectDrive project to deliver business resultsReport and manage issues and project risksConduct project completion audits/capture lessons learnedDeliver project or inventory of projects to agreed upon metrics (on schedule, on budget, on benefit plan)Coordinate efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery to the businessEngage as required to help resolve project issues and conflicts, so that on time, on budget, and value delivery metrics can be maximizedProvide leadership in the ongoing use of structured and rigorous IT processes that deliver repeatable results, in the use of a consistent system development lifecycle methodology, in the use of consistent estimating and planning tools for demand management and project management, and in the use of best practices program/project managementDesign, develop, implement, and continuously improve IT processesPublish a "Scorecard" for each assigned projectDeliver project management services and skills to business functions executing project based work, e.g., business process reengineering, efforts such as six sigma, marketing programs, HR programs, etc. Bachelors degree is required, a Computer Science degree is preferred5+ years experience in IT with experience in at least 1 of the following areas: project management, application design and implementation, technical infrastructure design and implementation, web design and implementation, IT strategy. Strong preference for experience in 2 or more areas.2+ years experience in project and program management. Recognized expert in planning, estimating, organizing, and managing IT projects1+ years experience defining and implementing program/project management structures, processes, and tools and expertise in the practical adoption of SDLC methodologies"Buck stops here" mentality in the delivery of projects and in the resolution of project issuesFocus on delivering business solutions (people, process, and technology) that provide value, not just installing technologyExperience collaborating with others in IT management roles to deliver shared results. Preference for tools other than MS Project. TRAVEL: Ability to travel 20% to 40% of the time.
