A rapidly growing rug manufacturer and distributor in Calhoun, GA is seeking to fill a position as an entry-level graphic designer/webmaster/marketing technician. The ideal candidate will be able to function creatively in a fast-paced and rapidly developing environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for website development, brand development, and marketing material development, as well as implementation of the same.
Highlights:
Assignments will include page layout design and production, collateral development and updates, corporate identity development (letterhead, business cards etc.), print production, signage design, etc.
Proficiency required on a PC platform in Adobe CS4 products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and have a good working knowledge of file extensions, importing, exporting.
Attention to detail and excellent proofing skills are a must. Experience in submitting electronic files to printers, IT skills, and knowledge of website and SharePoint updates a BIG plus.
Experience in web design is expected. HTML, Wordpress, perl, are a must. Other scripting languages are a big plus.
Applicant must be dependable, very organized, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, work independently in a fast-paced office and have good follow through skills.
Applicant must be comfortable working in a casual environment.
Candidates should have a degree from an accredited course of study or an equivalent amount of education and practical experience. Specific experience in the carpet and rug industry is a plus, but by no means required. The position is an internship, but can develop into a full-time position if the individual makes positive contributions and is a good fit in the existing team and company culture.
