Overview of Position:
Your first role will be to manage direct sales with clients . This includes corresponding with professional interior designers, architects, art procurers and other buyers for the purpose of providing image selections, quotes on pricing, and closing sales. This role requires you to have a solid understanding of commerce, and conceptual and technical knowledge of art, photography, and design, as well as excellent communication skills.
Art Sales duties include:
* Manage prospective and existing art buyers and designer accounts
* Respond to all art sales inquiries (image sizing, frame and matte options, pricing, etc.)
* Researching new business-to-business markets
* Occassionally may require travel to attend industry tradeshows and events
Your second important role will be to generate creative works to promote Printscapes.com. This includes writing press releases, generating editorial articles, creating print and electronic layouts for ads, newsletters and other collateral. This requires strong computer skills, photoshop skills, and an excellent command of the English language.
Marketing duties include:
* Reviewing magazines and online articles to stay on top of the latest art and wall decor design trends
* Generate new and creative marketing layouts (print and electronic) which showcase art collections
* Write and submit Press Releases and editorial articles for Printscapes.com
Job Qualifications:
* Excellent Communication Skills
* Excellent Command of the English language
* General Computer and Internet Literacy
* Intermediate Adobe Photoshop Skills: Image and Text Manipulation
* Ability to Write Copy and Design Layouts
* Detail oriented, responsible, and highly organized
* Enjoys teamwork in small office environment
* BA Degree or Related Experience
Helpful Skills:
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, ACT! by Sage
* Experience with Color Profiles and Print Requirements
* Familiarity with Art, Print and Framing Industry
* High Interest in Styles and Trends in Art and Photography
* Degree specializing in Fine Art, Photography, Design, Communications or Marketing
* Overall enjoyment from habitual consumption of chocolate.
