The Challenge

We are currently searching for a Developer to enhance and maintain system components of the SegPay processing platform. In addition, this position will interface with many members of the SegPay staff to enhance our credit card processing system as well as add additional payment options and functionality for the company to be more efficient and successful.

Success of the prospective candidate will be predicated upon their own self-motivation, ability to climb the learning curve rapidly, and desire to deliver outstanding work product. This position will report directly to the Lead Developer.

Responsibilities
Enhance applications of the SegPay billing platform,
Understand and enhance the credit card transaction processing platform
Enhance and manage the Payment Pages
Develop additional software subsystems to further expand the SegPay processing platform
Identify system deficiencies and recommended solutions.
Required Qualifications
a. VB.Net and C# –Intermediate level.
1) Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Understands inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, polymorphism and overloading.
2) Windows Applications (EXEs) Understands how to create, debug and deploy Windows applications.
3) XML - Parsing, node(s) selection, attributes, loading, validating, etc.
4) Understand Microsoft message queuing technologies
b. ASP.Net with VB.Net and C# –Intermediate level.
1) ASP.Net Applications Understands now to write, debug and deploy ASP.Net applications using VB.Net and C# as code behind.
2) HTML and JavaScript Intimate knowledge of both HTML and JavaScript. Capable of writing and understanding HTML and JavaScript that is browser independent.
3) Web Services / WCF
4) Exposure to Silverlight
c. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Junior to Intermediate level.
1) T-SQL –Knowledge of SQL necessary for table joins, index optimization and SQL query optimization.
2) Stored procedures Understands and codes stored procedures.
3) Triggers Understands and can handle triggers.
4) Aggregate functions Understands and knows how to properly use aggregate functions in SQL.
5) Security parameters
Education, Experience and Other Skills:
3 - 5 years experience in .Net Software Engineering. Demonstrate proficiency in multiple programming languages
Demonstrate proficiency in front/middle/backend technologies
Possess specialized knowledge in at least two tiers of development
Experience with third party hosting and administration is a plus
Understanding of programming to the Payment Card Industry Data Standards (PCI) is a plus
