a lot of stray dogs in delhi starve, are sick and are killed in road accidents. those of us who are compassionate enough, feed them .. maybe medicate them when needed and get in the face of others who for no reason hit the strays. anyway, i think the only way to end the plight of the strays is to not let them reproduce .. trust me, i love the cute little pups as much as anybody else, but if they knew what the kind of troubles theyd have to go through .. i think theyd rather pass on being born.

delhi govt. does have some kind of a tie up with NGOs for castrating dogs .. but i dont really see it working and castration is a VERY painful procedure and takes a few days. after doing up some digging and asking a vet, ive found out that just like men, dogs can undergo vasectomy instead .. which is quick snip and stitch operation. then i also found out why people opt for castration (when it comes to dogs) rather than vasectomy .. thats basically as vasectomy also makes the dogs less aggressive .... BUT stray dogs are already so meak and weak and scared that we dont really need to go that extra mile .. and you know what, its not happening anyway. we feed like 18 dogs each day just in our aparatment complex!

so basically, i am kind of looking to connect with people whod be interested in joining forces and maybe set up a mobile facility which can go area to area and ensure that our lovable strays dont keep multiplying their plight by brining in more newborns. its kind of sad, but i think its the only way.
