Visiting American needs help! - w4m

Hello! My name is Sara and Im an American who will be volunteering in Delhi for three months starting in September. I am very excited about coming to India and experiencing the life and culture. All I know about it is from Bollywood films and I hope to learn more. The reason I am posting this ad is that I am hoping to find some kind people willing to educate me/guide me with information about Delhi before I arrive. The things you would like to tell those annoying American tourists, you know :) I want to be respectful in learning the customs and traditions, so as not to offend anyone. I want to learn as much as I can! Not to mention, the BEST places to see, things to do, places to eat and shop. I would love to see a wedding or some traditional ceremony like that. I find the colors and the saris that women wear beautiful! The dancing and music is wonderful! I also want to travel to Agra, Jaipur, the Taj Mahal and Goa. I would very much appreciate anyone with information on how to get there, etc. Someone who is even willing to befriend me while I am in town and play tour guide. :) So... I hope to hear from you! And no offense, but please be well versed in English. I have already had much difficulty when the language barrier is thick.
