Fast-growing mid-sized Chicago Ad Agency is looking for a smart, interested media professional to step into the role of Integrated Media Director.
We plan and buy in just about every medium. And interactive has been a growth engine for us. We want to get much better in planning and developing integrated media efforts.
In this role, you would guide the planning and buying for local and out-of-market efforts, as well as national programs. You’ll need to be comfortable across media: broadcast, cable, radio, print, web, outdoor. As well as have a high interest in exploring new media opportunities (we like to have new media entities come and present to the agency so that media, account, and creative people are exposed). This job is about ideas, and selling them to clients, not recycling old plans.
You’ll be involved in client/agency interaction so that you can hear things from the source. And in new business efforts, both in planning and presenting. An out-going personality will be important in this role.
The media department has experienced planners and buyers, and others that are smart, capable, and still learning. They work well together. There’s often a little wackiness among the hard work (hey, we’re an ad agency).
