Red Rocks Country Club, one of Denvers most unique private clubs, is currently looking for a friendly, reliable and professional Communications Manager. Red Rocks Country Club is located only 2 miles off of C-470 on Belleview Avenue, 20 minutes from Downtown Denver and convenient to all of SW Denver.
We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Communications Manager with the knowledge and relationship skills to provide the interface between the Club and the membership. The primary responsibilities include gathering information, graphic elements and photos for, as well as writing, editing, designing and laying out the newsletter, the weekly email blasts, the website, and networking sites. It also includes creating promotional ads and marketing, dining and event materials, and other writing, editing and design work as needed.
You will have the opportunity to directly impact Red Rocks Country Clubs success by enhancing the experience of members at the Club and to assist the Club in its efforts to attract new members. This opportunity requires the ability to conceive, propose and assist the General Manager with various campaigns and communications projects.
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
* Strong writing, editing, spelling, grammatical, layout/design and organizational skills are required.
* Strong follow-up and attention to detail and accuracy are musts.
* Must be effective at working cooperatively with peers and others in the gathering and organizing of information for dissemination and campaigns.
* Must be a self-starter and proactive.
* Ability to assist General Manager and Department Heads in organizing media campaigns and marketing promotions and in implementing those plans is required.
* A minimum of a four-year bachelors degree in communications/media (or equivalent) and at least two years experience in a similar position is required.
Experience in the following is preferred:
* Prior experience in internal communications is required, including demonstrated ability to gather information, write, edit, design and layout and manage the printing and/or production of paper, electronic and web-based publications.
* Experience in taking, editing and laying out photographs for print and electronic publications, as well as experience in using social media platforms for internal communications programs is strongly preferred.
While the position is designed primarily to develop and lead internal communications between the Club and its members, the Communications Manager also may work with the General Manager, Membership Director and other staff and Board of Directors members as assigned to assist with external marketing projects.
