A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Director, Operations and Production at a viral marketing agency located in Studio City serving Fortune 500 clients.
It is the Director, Operations and Production’s responsibility to ensure all facets of our clients online Social Media campaigns exceed expectations and are completed with the highest quality work and on time. This position is an integral part of the organization and will be challenged with managing the production of several simulation tasks. The ideal candidate will need to be able to operate and manage a fast passed, ever changing and high energy environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Employee Management
Manage a staff up to 30 employees. This includes Assistant Campaign Managers, Social Media Supervisor, Quality Assurance Supervisor and Marketing Associates
Review Marketing Associate’s proficiencies and deficiencies when evaluating for potential merit increases/promotions
Follow up with Assistant Campaign Managers on status of campaign elements
Operations/Production
Work with VP, Campaign Development to understand campaign objectives so they are implemented accordingly
Effectively manage projects through use of appropriate resources and processes
Is expertly versed in workflow steps, involving development, execution and production for all projects
Develops production schedules for projects that balance DEI Worldwide/client needs; consults all team members for approvals on schedule and revises them when necessary
Maintains a clear and reasonable vision of "next steps" and the "big picture" during meetings, conversations or whenever the parameters of a project change must be able to adapt to change with a positive attitude
Is pro-active in managing all the details throughout the project to ensure that campaign objectives are accomplished on a timely basis
Proactively identify upcoming conflicts and resource gaps
Meet with Quality Assurance Supervisor to review Marketing Associate’s performance and logs
Create weekly schedule for Marketing Associates and assign each Marketing Associate to current campaigns
Provide current campaign data for weekly client reports
Conduct daily meetings to discuss what is or isn’t working and any concerns the marketing associates may have
Training
Update current training materials and create additional training material when needed.
Complete training of new Marketing Associates on chatting and message boards and verify that they are ready to begin work.
Ensure that Marketing Associates consistently reach all Conversational and Social Media goals
Consult with Social Media Supervisor when training Marketing Associates on Social Networks.
Identify individual deficiencies and conduct specialized training sessions to assist in boosting employee performance. Refer to individual QA logs for specific areas of deficiencies and what type of additional training needs to take place
Conduct refresher course training according to the training schedule. This includes shadowing MA’s and having the MA’s shadow other MA’s to learn alternative techniques
Identify areas for staff development and implement training procedures to enhance overall performance.
Motivate staff through creative contests and goal setting
Requirements:
Supervised at least 20 employees
5 7 years in a management/training role
3 5 years experience in an ad agency. This is a MUST. Please dont apply without ad agency experience.
Previous Project Management experience a plus
Education or experience in Word of Mouth marketing (i.e., chatting, social networks, blogging, etc)
Posses above average written and verbal communication skills
Must be a team player no egos please
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Must be technically savvy and a quick learner
Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
Ability to work independently, takes initiative to improve processes or solve problems
