Local non profit organization seeks a Director of Promotional Marketing to direct marketing activities. Bachelors degree in marketing, education, recreation or equivalent. Three or more years of related experience in marketing and/or special events planning. Five or more years of related experience in staff and volunteer supervision, financial management, public relations/communication skills, fund raising, and community program development. Ability to develop effective working relationships, and to effectively communicate and problem-solve. Strong leadership skills, high degree of accuracy, skill with quantitative information and ability to make decisions based on logical reasoning. Ability to take initiative and respond to a variety of situations and manage several tasks and projects at the same time.
Experience in staff supervision. Recruits, trains and supports assigned staff. Provides liaison to committee(s) and advisory board(s). Experience with computers, including personal computer applications such as data base and word processing. Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills, including the ability to make oral presentations. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
Reaching out to community, visiting corporations and developing the presence of the community center. Maintain a solid understanding of the sales pipeline with a non profit organization in Norwalk, CT.
Develops, implements, and manages marketing, plans to promote membership growth for the organization. Coordinates special events and activities. Maintains membership calendar, works with all departments to secure proper flyers, notices, press releases, signage throughout the building.
Assists with all campaigns and building tour activities. Work and assist Development Department with all fundraisers, events, coordinated events as necessary.
Develops effective working relationships with service groups, community organizations, and companies, including making presentations.
Hires, trains, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff and volunteers. Provides development and leadership. Use of excel databases, constant contact newsletters, graphic design content for flyers and managing of organization’s website, brochures and other related media as organization sees fit to produce.
Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with membership and marketing plans. Represents the organization at community events including health fairs and business expositions to promote the organization.
