We are looking to identify a freelance Advertising Sales person for our publication, The Bronx Times at Bronx.com, a rapidly expanding online newspaper and business directory, which delivers over 2,500 articles a day to a readership mass of over 80,000 people.
The successful candidate will be an intelligent go-getter, independent, with excellent writing and verbal communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will own a laptop with mobile Internet connectivity and will be able to execute a deal over the phone, via e-mail or in person using our real-time online content management system.
The successful candidate will be selling online business listings on the pages of our edition to Bronx bars and restaurants, there are well over 1,000 of them listed online on YellowPages, for a one-time 20% commission on every new advertiser signed-up. Advertiser pays $365 per year, of which $73 is the commission earned.
If this assignment turns out successful, it will be expanded to local banks, lawyers, doctors, dentists, beauty salons, etc. The income potential is limited only by the number of businesses in the borough, which is in the many, many thousands.
