ZigZap Technologies is a Chicago based I.T. consulting firm looking to provide clients with highly skilled website designs. ZigZaps team of programmers are looking for a talented freelance graphic artist with xhtml skills to work alongside them as they develop custom web applications. These are long term projects that will generate additional work as they mature, we are looking for someone with a professional web design background who can work well with a team.
This position requires someone with both artistic and web programming skills, stronger graphic arts skills are a plus but candidates with both skills will be interviewed first
To apply you must have:
2+ years experience in web design and/or graphic arts
a portfolio showcasing websites you have designed
references within the industry
a demonstrable knowledge of XHtml and CSS layouts as you may be asked to code a basic layout using 960.gs or blueprint during your interview
an intimate knowledge of Adobe CS3 (or newer)
Compensation will vary based on experience and skill. We are looking to hear what you charge and want a long term partner with reasonable rates.
This could become a full time position within 12 months but it is certainly a long term partnership opportunity.
