I am selling an excellent condition Sony Vaio Laptop, model VGN-FW245, that I bought earlier this year. Its been a wonderful machine, but I need to try to recoup some money to get a Mac (work reasons). Ill list the main features below, but for a quick summary, this machine is fast, has a beautiful HD LCD (1600x900 resolution), Dolby Sound Room audio, and a built-in Blu-ray optical drive. Watching HD movies is awesome with this laptop with Blu-ray and a high-definition 16.4 inch widescreen glossy LCD, and Ive used it mainly for office functions (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint... and of course, e-mail and internet), and for watching the occasional movie. The main features are highlighted below:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5800 @2.00GHz
4GB PC2-6400 RAM
250GB hard drive
Intel GMA 4500HD graphics with up to 1309mb of shared memory
Blu-ray/DVD-RW optical drive
16.4 inch glossy widescreen HD LCD, native resolution 1600x900
Built-in 10/100base-T ethernet and wireless 802.11a/b/g/n capability
54.4 modem
HDMI output
Firewire S400 input
3 USB 2.0 ports
MemoryStick (with MagicGate functionality) and SD card readers
Expresscard/34 expansion slot
1.3MP Motion Eye webcam
Ive edited videos & photos, watched high-definition movies and other video with seemless fluid playback, and kept and organized my entire music library, and of course, my gigabytes of office documents and other files without a single hiccup. Windows Vista 64-bit is an obvious improvement on the original Vista release, and with Windows 7 now available, Im sure it will get better. I find myself not missing XP anymore.
I have the original box, manuals, and a set of self-created restore DVDs (which the system walks you through in the very beginning). I will completely wipe the hard drive and restore the laptop to new-in-box condition. If desired, I can also install a full version of Microsoft Office 2007 (CDs will not be included). There are a few minor scratches from being carried in my laptop messenger bag, and there is a single dead pixel on the upper left side of the screen (I have to look for it, but its there).
As I said before, I need to move towards having a Mac, and will miss having a mobile high-definition multimedia system (as far as I know, Macs dont come with built-in Blu-ray). Feel free to contact me if youd like actual pictures or any other information. Price is firm. LOCAL DEALS ONLY, CASH ONLY, NO SHIPPING. If the listing is still up, then the item is still available. Thanks for looking.
